The FieldKing High Speed Multi Disc Harrow is used in open paddocks working for the superficial ploughing, shattering of clods, preparation of soil for sowing, burial of organic substances & remains.

It aerates the soil and eliminates weeds, breaking the roots. Designed to work for speed up to 20 km/h, it effectively breaks up heavy clods because of sturdy design and weight. Made from high quality Boron steel discs.

“These are high quality speed discs – heavy duty with SKF bearings. We bring them in direct so they’re less than half price to other comparable machines. They are amazing for cultivation work, with workable speeds from 10 to 13km/hr. In most instances, they will turn cover crops completely over in one pass. One strawberry grower turned over 1 metre high mustard into his fields in one pass at a depth of 6 to 8 inches, and was just amazed with the results. It saved him thousands of dollars in time and fuel.

The functions of the multi disc are a lot different to tandem and offset discs, as the discs are closer together on the frame, they are twisted towards each other (the front and the back gang), and the front throws to the back and vice versa, so they virtually double-chop. This enables the soil to virtually be completely rolled over in one pass – not like other discs which chop and leave large clumps of material on top, which has to be generally run over and over to break it down. The speed disc can generally work at twice the speed of normal discs. It has a crumbler roller at the back, which governs its depth and levels the soil out. Sizes are 2.3m and 2.4m (suitable for some vineyards_, and 3m, 3.5m and 4m machines are suitable for dairy farmers, contractors and broad acre. Also, these machines can be fitted with air seeders and have been used for sewing wheat, barley and other cereal crops“.
